Fragile & Conflict Affected States (FCAS) Framework
In March 2012, Alcis was selected as a supplier on the UK Department for International Development (DfID) Fragile and Conflict Affected States (FCAS) framework, which extends from 2012 to 2014.
As such, Alcis will supply consultancy services across four broad thematic areas:
A. Governance, Security & Justice
B. Livelihoods, Infrastructure, basic services and private sector development
C. Social Development and Civil Society
D. Education services
The Fragile and Conflict Affected States framework is in place to deliver programmes in the most challenging environments, places where operating conditions; be they caused by political, environmental or man-made interventions, make normal working practices more challenging.
The innovations and methods that Alcis employs, through techniques such as remote sensing, provide real benefits in areas where access to the ground may often be dangerous, and where reliable and timely information is difficult to obtain.
